Dragonfly (2012)

Horseshoes, wax finish

To escape the ultra-rainy Seattle winter in early 2012, I visited my friend Ethan at his shop on a historic ranch in Waimea, HI. After spending a day down in the Waipio Valley (which is home to a few dozen species of dragonfly), we did some late-night forging. I whimsically ended up making a dragonfly out of some old horseshoes Ethan had in the shop. The dragonfly is still hanging out in his shop. :)
